Little did Liv Stone know that a day at the BRO-AM in 2018 would lead to her one day surfing for Team USA in the World Adaptive Surfing Championship and an appearance at the World Surf League's prestigious Super Girl Pro along with six other female adaptive surfers.
Liv was born with limb differences in both of her arms, making sports like surfing seem like a daunting challenge. In 2018, she crushed that challenge and competed at her first BRO-AM, surfing with the Junior Seau Foundation Adaptive Surf Program presented by the Challenged Athletes Foundation.
While having a blast at the beach is important, stories like Liv's are the real reason the BRO-AM and our beneficiaries like Challenged Athletes Foundation exist. We want this day in the sun to inspire hope and lasting opportunity.
Check out the video below to hear more of Liv's story and see how the Challenged Athletes Foundation opens doors to new possibilities.
